The Challenge

Two eight-inch subsea water injection riser flanges on Total E&P Congo’s KOF1 and LIF1 platforms were showing leaks. Corrosion and potential loosening of flange bolting threatened joint integrity. The repair had to meet several critical requirements:

Working in a hazardous subsea environment in an isolated African location.
