Full iDMS tracking of all joints
During the 2017 Turnaround (TAR), Calumet Superior required complete visibility and control over all medium- and high-critical joints across the refinery. With tight schedules, strict safety requirements, and the need to eliminate unplanned downtime, the refinery needed a partner capable of delivering specialist manpower, proven joint integrity processes, and reliable tracking technology. The mission: ensure asset integrity and a leak-free startup - without compromising safety or schedule.
Hydratight deployed a combined engineering and field service approach designed specifically for high-critical TAR environments.
1. Gap Analysis & Criticality Review
An initial gap analysis was completed by Hydratight to assess risk areas. Heat exchangers were flagged as a high-criticality category requiring immediate focus.
2. Targeted Planning & Execution
The Hydratight Field Services Leader coordinated a robust criticality report to classify and prioritise all high-risk joints. Hydratightâs team then tracked and inspected each critical joint with precision and full iDMS integration.
3. Proven Tools & Competent Workforce
ASME PCC-1 trained inspectors
24/7 support via Hydratightâs industry-renowned iDMS joint integrity software
Comprehensive field controls to ensure safe, right-first-time execution
If youâre planning a turnaround or outage and need a partner who delivers safe, leak-free, right-first-time results, Hydratight is ready to support you.
